Naloxone is a medication used to reverse an opioid overdose. This standing order is intended to ensure that residents of the State of West Virginia who are at risk of experiencing an opioid-related overdose, or who are family members, friends or other persons who are in a position to assist a person at risk of experiencing an opioid-related overdose, are able to obtain Naloxone.

The Appalachian folklore cryptids - including the familiar images of Bigfoot and Mothman - will be popping up around the State of West Virginia in early 2024. Placed on the side of a Naloxone box, a cryptids sticker includes a QR code that directs an individual to a confidential, 5-question survey. Once complete, that individual is directed to the Help & Hope WV website. The goal of this project is to anonymously collect overdose data and provide additional Naloxone and other resources at-no-cost where they are needed the most.
